A Few Words about Manny

Manuel Gonzalez is a strategic leader with global expertise in organizational transformation across diverse industries. His career, best described as dynamic and multifaceted, began in the hospitality sector, including hotel management and food and beverage operations, before advancing into cultural attractions and large-scale event management. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in marketing, finance, and operations, both domestically and internationally, successfully driving growth and innovation across corporate and nonprofit sectors.

Mr. Gonzalez specializes in strategic planning, external relations, business development, marketing, finance, and governance of facilities, venues, and cultural attractions. His leadership in master planning and development is exemplified by his instrumental role in the expansion of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium into a 580-acre regional entertainment complex, which includes a water park, theme park, golf course, and a future indoor water park hotel. This $180 million project attracts over two million visitors annually, reinforcing its position as a premier destination.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian University. Committed to industry leadership, he serves on the boards of NYCE Parks & Attractions, the Donald Woods Winnicott School in Mexico, Mission City Community Fund, the Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau, and RX Entertainment. His past board service includes roles with Scrum Alliance, Hawaiian Falls Water Parks, the Dublin Convention and Visitors Bureau, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA), the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility (HACR), the United Methodist Children’s Home, and Park Street S.A. de C.V. He has also contributed to the Zoo and Aquarium Committee for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).

Currently, Mr. Gonzalez serves as Managing Partner and CEO of RX Entertainment, a global attractions and consulting firm, and Chairman of NYCE Complex in New York, New York, where he continues to drive strategic growth and operational excellence in the entertainment and leisure industries.
